From Destination to Micro Weddings
Micro weddings: are they simply a response to COVID-19, a necessity during unprecedented times? Or, perhaps, are they a new trend that may become conventional? Here at Bespoke Floral and Event Design, we are helping brides shape their previous wedding plans to fit the needs of the international pandemic. We are considering these reshapings “micro weddings.” We sat down with one of our micro wedding brides, Nicole, to get her take on rearranging her destination wedding to a more local affair, and to get a glimpse at how Bespoke is helping her in the process.
Nicole and her fiance, Paul, first crossed paths when they were teenagers. Her father and Paul’s uncle were (and still are) good friends. Years later, the two crossed paths again but, this time, on Tinder. Nicole said that they “instantly knew they had to go out on a date.” Their first date was at Kona Grill and, after that, the two made sure their paths never steered from each other. After five years and creating a life together in Manalapan, New Jersey, Nicole and Paul planned a destination wedding to Aruba for August 8, 2020. The ceremony was set at the Hilton on the beach during sunset and the reception was going to take place at Faro Blanco. Nicole explained that she and Paul were devastated they were forced to change their original wedding plans due to COVID, however, she also said that they continued to stay positive these past few months and their “love for one another has only become stronger.”
With their optimistic attitudes, Nicole and Paul searched for a new game plan for their wedding. This is where Bespoke comes into play. Not only is Bespoke helping with the florals, but Nicole and Paul also took advantage of one of our wedding planning packages as well. When we asked Nicole to explain what it has been like working with Scott and Rondineli, she said, “The moment we met Scott, we instantly felt at ease! He is by far one of the best wedding planners we have ever encountered. Scott is truly a life saver and we could not have asked for a better experience. We inquired about our wedding only about a month before our wedding date and were stressed beyond belief. Scott made sure we had all of our vendors in order and went above and beyond to assist us. When meeting Ron, we were so happy to learn that he also was genuine and his number one priority is to make our wedding day the most special and beautiful day of our lives. Ron is very kind and personable, and we felt it was so easy to build a connection with him. Scott and Ron truly exceeded our expectations.”
The new date for the future Mr. and Mrs. is July 25, 2020. The ceremony and reception will take place at Windows on the Water at Frogbridge in Millstone, New Jersey. This updated wedding will be different, more intimate even, as Nicole and Paul’s bridal party, as well as their immediate family, will be the guests in attendance. Bespoke will be designing all of the floral arrangements for the couple’s ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. For this July wedding, the color scheme is sage green, blush, and white, with gold as an accent color. The flowers will include a blend of Playa Blanca Roses, white hydrangeas, blush pink sweet Escimo Roses, lisianthus, and spray roses. Nicole exclaimed that she and Paul “cannot wait to see the flowers on our sweetheart table!”
After the wedding, the couple will be enjoying a mini honeymoon in Las Vegas. They also plan to start a family this summer and are hoping to visit the beautiful island of Aruba next year for their one year anniversary.
Finally, Nicole said that she and Paul are “blessed and forever grateful for both Scott and Ron!” and that she “cannot thank them enough for all they have done and will continue to do for us on our big day!” From all of us here at Bespoke, we are beyond excited for the two of you and are happy to be an integral part of your wedding day!
